it has been a rough week for the teeth in our family.
on the bad side, abigail tipped over her little riding scooter in the kitchen and went mouth-first into the tile floor. she chipped her tooth and sported two big fat lips for a few days.
we took her to an emergency dentist appointment and then were referred out to a pediatric sedation dentist. we saw him today and all is well. her tooth may discolor, which is the only thing i am concerned about. a kid with a little brown tooth in front? people will think i don't take care of her!
but i know it's not about me...she's happy and healthy and it doesn't bother her one bit.
though, new fears have awoken in me. every time she runs too fast, every time she falls to the ground...she is going to be the child we have to take to the emergency room more often than not, i'm afraid.
*sigh*
just a couple days after turning seven, little miss emma's tooth fell out during lunch at school. she was pretty excited that she got to take it to the nurse and get a little plastic treasure chest to keep it in.
that, and the tooth fairy gave her four quarters. woot.

Sorry for Abigail's misfortune. Luckily baby teeth fall out. Emma, what a beautiful smile and how fun to get the little treasure chest, instead of an envelope or something not so special.
ReplyDeleteLove and miss you all.
